Computer Science BSc (Hons) Lincoln College

This qualification is designed to equip students with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to enhance their career potential in the computing and IT profession. The courses are aimed mainly, but not exclusively, at those who have some computing experience.

This course is validated by the University of Hull. The validating institution is responsible for awarding the qualification at the end of the programme. Students on validated courses are OfS registered, funded and taught at Lincoln College and it is the responsibility of the College to manage all aspects of this provision. The validating institution maintains an oversight of the programme throughout the academic year and must be satisfied that students are being taught in line with the required academic standards of the awarding institution.

The assessment methods typically used throughout the programme include: Coursework Portfolios Assessments Essays Presentations (group) Case Studies Reports Websites Progression On successful completion of this course, graduates have a strong set of practical skills for pursuing a career within the computing and IT industry. Graduates will have the capability to adapt and respond to the changing and diverse nature of the sector. Graduates could also complete postgraduate courses at an alternative university or pursue a teacher training qualification.
