UK

What will I learn?

Conservators play a vital role in safeguarding cultural heritage, helping to preserve artworks, historic buildings, archaeological finds, and museum collections for future generations. The MCon (Hons) Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the University of Lincoln is a four-year Integrated Master's degree that combines practical conservation skills with a deep understanding of history, heritage, museums, and cultural preservation. You'll learn how historic objects, collections, buildings, and cultural materials are cared for and protected, while developing the professional expertise needed for careers in museums, galleries, archives, heritage organisations, and conservation services. Based in the historic city of Lincoln, you'll study in a living heritage environment and benefit from a small, friendly, and inclusive learning community that shares a passion for conservation. The integrated Master's structure enables you to build advanced knowledge and hands-on experience over four years, providing strong preparation for professional practice or further specialist training. If you are unsure about committing to a four-year programme, you can also apply for our three-year BA (Hons) Conservation of Cultural Heritage degree and may have the opportunity to transfer to the Integrated Master's during your studies.
