Entry requirements

For international students

Youll need to hold a Masters qualification at Merit level or above (or its international equivalent), usually in a relevant area. Your academic and professional qualifications, as well as any relevant professional experience, will normally be taken into account and may, in some cases, form an integral part of the entrance requirements. If youre applying for a distance learning research programme, youll also need to demonstrate that you have the time, commitment, facilities, and experience to study by distance learning. You will normally be required to submit a research proposal, which should typically be 1,000–1,500 words for Arts programmes or around 2,500 words for Law programmes.
