What will I learn?

This course is aimed at people who are interested in working with children, young people and their families. The course enables you to study and develop specialist knowledge and skills relating to generic themes and disciplines such as child development, sociology, psychology, education, supporting families and safeguarding. You will develop your independent thinking, analytical and communication skills and this will help you become a clear and confident writer, as well as learning the skills required to become a reflective practitioner. Successful completion of this Foundation Degree can lead to further study on our BA Honours Top-Up degree, or to many different professional careers. You will be taught by experienced academic staff who have a range of industry experiences to support you and enhance your Higher Education experience.
