What will I learn?

Learn about the main issues around health, social care and wellbeing for communities across the UK. Develop skills you need to make a difference for some of the most vulnerable groups in society.OverviewWe equip our students with a deep understanding of welfare structures and processes within integrated health and social care. The course offers advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for managing the health and social care sector. It emphasises multi-agency approaches, aligning with current government initiatives. Students will complete at least one placement, gaining valuable real-world experience. Graduates are prepared for further professional training or postgraduate study, supported by Subject Benchmark Statements in Health Studies, Social Policy, and Social Work, and aligned with the QAA and University assessment strategies. Course structureThis course can be studied full-time over 1 year.You'll learn through workshops, small group work, lectures, computer-based learning, presentations and independent learning. Plus, you'll get one-to-one support from our expert academic staff. You'll be marked on your group project and presentations, multiple-choice questionnaires and timed tests.
