The International Medical Foundation Diploma (IMFD) is ideal for aspiring medical students. This 9-month programme is designed to provide fundamental scientific knowledge and skills across a range of science disciplines. This includes laboratory skills, basic numeracy and data handling skills, ICT, medical vocabulary, and study skills. The aim of completing the IMFD is to help you feel more confident and better prepared to begin your medical degree. The programme has been designed by experts at pathway level to help you maximise your learning potential on the programme. It is delivered by experienced staff who have all worked with international students for many years and have expertise in specialist areas. Upon successful completion of the IMFD and meeting the required admission criteria, you may be eligible to apply and progress onto a Five-Year Medical Degree Track (MD Track 5) at St. George’s University (SGU). You can start in the UK at Northumbria University or at SGU’s campus in Grenada.
