Language Studies with English and Spanish (Q30-ES) - BA (Hons)

UK

What will I learn?

Studying English and Spanish together gives you a unique perspective on how languages shape communication, culture and influence. In English, you’ll explore how the language works in different contexts, its history, politics and global reach, and how it is used to influence and persuade. Alongside this, you’ll develop your Spanish proficiency and gain insight into Spanish-speaking cultures. This combination equips you with both linguistic expertise and critical understanding of how language reflects and shapes society. By the end of your studies, you’ll be a confident, independent communicator. This is one of several subject combinations in our BA (Honours) Language Studies.**Key features of the course**- Builds your proficiency in Spanish to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) level C1- Develops advanced knowledge of the cultures where Spanish is used- Explores the evolution and diversification of English as a global language- Strengthens your understanding of effective communication in English- Become an intercultural communication expert
