What will I learn?

An MA by Research (MAR) in the School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science allows you to take independent research at Masters level. For many, this is perfect springboard for a PhD. You will research and write a thesis of approximately 30,000 words on a subject of your choice. With close one-to-one supervision, you’ll be supported to deliver a project that meets your needs. Your postgraduate research degree provides the opportunity to explore and contribute to an area that you’re passionate about whilst also developing advanced skills in preparation for a rewarding and impactful career. The Centre for Metaphysics and Mind (CMM) supports excellence in research in theoretical philosophy.
