Business research enables companies, big and small, to develop in an efficient, safe and equitable way, bringing together people, industry and environmental concerns to tackle the biggest and most challenging issues of the day. Our researchers have extensive practice- and theory-based experience in issues related to leadership, management, sustainability, hospitality, and more. Studying business at a higher (PhD or MPhil) level will equip you with the subject knowledge and confidence to work as a leader in any profession. It could also give you the experience to set up your own business, whether in business consultancy or a specific industry. Entry requirements
For international students
The standard requirement for an MPhil/PhD is a first or upper-second honours degree and/or usually a relevant Master's degree. Candidates with other qualifications are considered individually on their merits. All students are interviewed by their potential supervisor(s) and a Research Degree Coordinator or nominated other.
