What will I learn?

Design and build the future of creative technology, from immersive experiences to AI-driven systems. Our MSc Creative Technologies course combines creativity with cutting-edge digital tools to help you design and build innovative experiences for the real world. You’ll explore how emerging technologies such as AI, immersive media and interactive systems, are shaping culture, society, and industry, and learn how to apply them in meaningful and responsible ways. Working in a studio-based, practice-led environment, you’ll develop both your creative thinking and technical confidence, supported by expert staff and access to specialist facilities. Throughout the course, you’ll build a strong professional portfolio that showcases your ability to respond to real-world challenges, preparing you for a wide range of opportunities across the fast-growing creative technology (Createch) sector, from digital design and immersive experiences to innovation, and research and development roles.

Entry requirements

For international students

A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree, or an appropriate equivalent, i.e. a professional qualification, from a recognised British or overseas institution, in a related subject. Related subjects include (but are not limited to), music technology, film production, TV production technology, music performance, games production, games art, VFX technology production and, live and technical events. Mature students with at least 3 years industry experience are also welcome to apply.Applicants who do not fully satisfy the general criteria will be considered if they are able to demonstrate that they are capable of successfully undertaking and completing the programme at the required standard. Eligibility may be determined by means of an interview for some applicants.
