London Met’s campuses are based in Zones 1 and 2 of London, offering students the excitement of the capital at their fingertips.

The university offers a broad range of bachelor’s (undergraduate) and master’s (postgraduate) degrees.

London Met has state-of-the art facilities and two libraries, where students can hone their skills and prepare for a rewarding career regardless of the field they’re looking to enter. Students on London Met’s wide range of courses have access to purpose-built art, design and recording studios, a mock courtroom, a GBP 100,000 journalism newsroom, and a GBP 30 million Science Centre, which is one of Europe’s largest science teaching labs.

All London Met undergraduate students are guaranteed a work-based learning opportunity, which counts towards their studies. Students also get support to find part-time job opportunities while they study, which continues after they’ve graduated with access to the university’s career service three years after graduation.

London Met works closely with a number of collaborative partners, both overseas and in the UK, to deliver courses that lead to university awards. These relationships give the university the opportunity to provide the best possible learning progression and experience to students from all over the world. 

Academics and courses

London Met lecturers have extensive industry experience and are actively involved in world-class research. Their knowledge is passed on to students studying at London Met.

The university develops courses that are based on industry needs and are specifically created to address skill shortages in the job market. As well as ranking first overall in the UK for student value added (The Guardian Guide 2026), many of London Met’s courses are also ranked highly:

• Food science courses are ranked first in London and seventh in the UK, according (The Guardian League Table 2025)
• Film and photography courses are second in the UK overall, (The Guardian University Guide 2026)
• Pharmacology courses were ranked first in the UK for assessment and feedback as well as academic support, and ranked second in the UK for teaching quality and learning opportunities. (National Student Survey 2025)

The university’s business and management courses are ranked fifth in the UK for student satisfaction in the Complete University Guide 2025

Graduate outcomes

Lots of London Met courses offer industry work experience that counts towards gaining a degree, and many courses are also accredited by professional bodies. The university aims to produce graduates who are leaders, innovators, change-makers and pioneers with the ability to make a significant difference to society.

The university’s careers and employability service supports students in their search for graduate jobs and runs employability workshops on CV writing and interview skills. This gives students an excellent foundation from which to launch their job search.

London is one of the business hubs of the world and is home to some of the world’s largest companies, which gives students access to a wealth of employment opportunities. Not only is it a great city for students, but it’s also the perfect place to build and progress in a range of top careers.

Supporting entrepreneurs

Students can gain support through London Met Enterprise, the university’s business incubator. The Enterprise service supports London Met students and graduates to bring ideas to life and develop skills for success in start-up, self-employment and freelancing, through a range of events, activities and programmes.

London Met Lab

London Met is on a mission to tackle London's inequalities, improve lives and deliver social justice.

The university works with more than 600 partner organisations, including local authorities, NHS Trusts, sports clubs, charities, higher education institutions and businesses, to address challenges facing the city and its communities.

London Met runs several public clinics, offering free or affordable services, including a pro bono legal advice service and an injury and rehabilitation clinic.

Skills and simulation suite

London Met's Skills and Simulation Suite, opened in 2023, provides realistic learning experiences that prepare health sciences students for professional practice. The facility includes a hospital ward, intensive care unit, paediatric ward and paediatric intensive care unit, alongside community-focused environments such as a home with a functioning kitchen and an assisted living flat.

A highlight is the immersive 360-degree ‘igloo’, which uses projection and virtual reality technology to recreate a range of scenarios, from roadside emergencies to hospital wards. The space also supports learning in anatomy, physiology and laboratory techniques, helping students build practical skills and confidence in a safe, hands-on environment.

Cyber Security Research Centre

The Cyber Security Research Centre is a space where academics and businesses can meet and work together to solve cyber security problems of significance. Its core activities include:

• Teaching of digital forensics, and data analytics
• Research into cyber security
• Industrial research, innovation and consultancy projects in cyber security
