What will I learn?

It combines expertise in mechanical engineering, electronics and computer science to show you what’s possible in this field. If you choose the MEng option, you’ll also explore specialised areas such as computer vision, machine learning and real-time control.Engineers, computer scientists, clinical experts and psychologists are all carrying out research with the Centre for Advanced Robotics. Together they’re investigating everything from autonomous systems and cognition to human-robot interaction and medical robotics.With opportunities to get involved with research, industrial projects and internships, you’ll gain the experience you need to stand out. Decide how you want to make an impact and we’ll help you get there.Our Robotics Engineering programmes have been accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers under licence from the UK regulator, the Engineering Council. An accredited degree will provide you with some or all of the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills for eventual registration as an Incorporated (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng).Our BEng programmes partially meet the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng). Our MEng programmes fully meet the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
