Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants are required to have three A levels, with typical offers ranging from AAB to ABB depending on the number of preferred subjects included. Acceptable A Level subjects include Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics, English Language, English Literature, Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, Government and Politics, History, Human Biology, Mathematics, Physical Education, Physics, Politics, Psychology, Sociology, Sport Studies, and Statistics. Some offers of ABB may be made to applicants with multiple A levels from the preferred list and an exceptional supporting statement. Subjects not accepted for entry include Applied Science, Citizenship Studies, Communication and Culture, Critical Studies, Critical Thinking, General Studies, Moving Image Arts, Science in Society, Use of Maths, and World Development. International Baccalaureate (IB) applicants should have 32 points overall with Higher Level grades ranging from 6,6,5 to 6,5,5, dependent on the number of preferred subjects. BTEC qualifications in relevant science or applied subjects are considered: BTEC Extended Diploma (18 units) with D*D*D, BTEC Diploma (12 units) with D*D plus grade A or B in an accepted A Level subject, or BTEC Subsidiary Diploma (6 units) with a D plus 2 A Levels at AA to BB grades. GCSE requirements include Mathematics, English, and a Science subject at grade 4/C or above. Acceptable BTEC subjects include Applied Human Biology, Applied Psychology, Applied Science, Business, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, Equine Management, Health and Social Care, Personal and Business Finance, Sport, Sport and Exercise Science, Sport and Exercise Sciences, Sport and Outdoor Activities, Sport, Fitness and Personal Training, Sporting Excellence and Performance, Sports Coaching and Development, and Sport and Physical Activity (Cam Tech).
