Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA): Every year, Accounting program faculty and students provide free tax preparation services to other UCM students, staff and community members. Each student undergoes training and certification exams to volunteer and learn how to provide excellent client service while gaining real experience working with real people.
Internships: Most students who major in Accounting at UCM complete an internship, gaining real-world professional experiences and earning both college credit and pay. You could work for accounting firms, both big and small. Some of our undergraduate students have also worked for governmental organizations. We have a dedicated internship director who works hard to find internship opportunities that align with your goals and interests.
