What will I learn?

The Associate in Arts in General Studies in a degree that grants academic recognition for the completion of 90 applicable college level credits. It is not for students intending to transfer to a university/college in pursuit of a baccalaureate degree and does not fulfill the first two years of general education requirements for a bachelor’s degree.

Important Notes and Conditions

  • 90 Applicable College Level Quarter Credits
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA 2.0 Required
  • A course cannot be credited toward more than one distribution or skilled area.
  • “P” grade not allowed in Communication Skills, Quantitative, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences.

Entry requirements

For international students

Any applicant who has graduated from high school, or

Is 16 or 17 years old with proof of GED completion, or

Is 18 years of age or older

Acceptable English proficiency test results:

An Internet-based TOEFL (IBT) score of 61 or a Paper-based TOEFL 500

An academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 with all sub-scores 5.5 or higher

DUOLINGO English Test: 95

A grade of “C” in English as a First Language on the IGCSE or O-level exams

An AP English Language or Literature/Comp score of 3 (Score of 3 places into English 101)

An IB English A exam with a minimum score of 4 (Score of 4 places into English 101)
