About this course

What will I learn?

Electrical Technology Associate Degree This 2-year program provides hands-on training in residential commercial and industrial electrical systems. Immersive Training Master electrical tasks from wiring single-family homes to installing complex electrical systems in multi-million-dollar commercial buildings. Our students engage in system installation analysis design and troubleshooting of industrial automated control systems. Practice in 3 labs dedicated to Electrical Technology students in residential/commercial electrical automation and electrical machinery. Earn Your Journeyman Electrical Certification This 2-year program prepares students to take the Journeyman Electrical Certification with excellent career prospects in the electrical field due to a shortage of skilled workers caused by the retirement of older electricians. In recent years our graduates have reported a 78 pass rate while the national average is 32 . Small Class Sizes Our program maintains small class sizes to ensure personalized instruction for each student. With an annual intake of 25 students you can reserve your spot on the waiting list by submitting a deposit to the Electrical Technology program.

Entry requirements

Complete official transcripts or academic records in native language and official English translation including grades earned in each subject.Copy of the secondary school or high school certificate of completion or diploma, if applicable. Current certified bank statement or financial guarantee (within 6 months), Financial Statement of Support form, Delivery Method form, Copy of passport, All official documents (original or certified copies) must be mailed directly to Pittsburg State University. Official transcripts must be received direct from the issuing school in a sealed envelop. A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in an accredited international post secondary institution (college/university)
