B.A. in Art History: Fees & Entry Requirements at The Catholic University of America – Globally Recruit, USA

What will I learn?

At Catholic University, we explore the spirit of art from the earliest Paleolithic cave paintings rendered over 30,000 years ago to cutting-edge contemporary galleries. Students majoring in Art History are introduced to a broad range of ancient, medieval, Renaissance, baroque, modern, and contemporary art works. In this process, students are also introduced to a diversity of methodologies for understanding art objects formally and analytically in their social, political, and economic context.

The B.A. in Art History at Catholic University fully capitalizes on its Washington D.C. connections. Art History majors are constantly utilizing area museums for research, field trips, internships and even entire courses. Our alumni are fully prepared for graduate studies, with many enrolling in competitive M.A. and Ph.D programs after graduating. Many more find employment in Washington D.C.'s robust museum and gallery scene.
