Study the history of art and architecture and analyze art’s meaning, style and social context. UToledo students who choose the optional concentration in Art Museum Practices work with UToledo faculty and Toledo Museum of Art professionals to design and install an exhibition at the museum. Real-world skills. UToledo Art History bachelor’s degree students are prepared for the current job market. They learn how to critique, write, research and problem solve as well as how to use tools and digital technology. Top-notch faculty. UToledo Art Department faculty members get to know their students. You are considered a freshman if you are coming to UToledo directly from high school and have never attended university. If you took college courses while enrolled in high school, you are still considered a freshman.
