What will I learn?

The Arts Administration program is designed for students who love art, but are more interested in the business side of the industry. If you want to pursue a career in communications, marketing, fundraising or programming in a fun, arts-related industry, this is definitely the program for you. If you are interested in the business side of art, you can choose to major in arts administration with an emphasis in Art History, Studio Art, Dance or Theatre. Working with the Gardiner Art Gallery, the OSU Museum of Art and the Theatre Department, these experiences allow you to graduate not only with a degree, but also with real-world, hands-on experience in your field.

Students play a vital role in every aspect of the OSU Museum of Art’s operation. We offer opportunities that allow students to be involved in all areas of museum work such as installing exhibitions, writing labels, working with faculty to design exhibitions and helping with the day-to-day operations by serving as guards and working in visitor services positions.
