History teaches you to understand past cultures and societies, and to be an engaged citizen. You’ll learn persuasive writing and critical thinking to evaluate problems and questions from multiple perspectives.
Majoring in history at OSU will teach you to understand past cultures and societies and to be an engaged citizen. Our established public history program features strengths in historic preservation, museum studies and digital history. Our “Jobs in History” practicum course gives hands-on experience and real-world connections, in art museums, oral history programs, historical archives and others.
