As a student, you’ll develop a strong foundation in film history, film analysis, and film theory, as well as hands-on exposure to the technological aspects of film production and cinematic storytelling techniques and traditions through the use of professional 16mm film and HD video camera packages, lighting, and studio equipment.Explore the art of filmmaking through the use of professional 16mm film and HD video camera packages, lighting, and studio equipment.Find your focus in the field in areas such as screen writing, criticism, cinematography production design, and editing.Gain an understanding of the ethics and social responsibilities involved in both the making and watching film and screen media.The BA in Film and Screen Studies surveys the analysis of film, its history, and the way it has impacted our world through a unique approach. The program consists of 12 credits of required courses devoted to the analysis of film, the historical development of cinematic traditions and technology, and the artistic and social impact that cinema has had from the early 20th century to the present day.
