Students desiring to major or minor in piano must successfully audition for acceptance into the Department of Music. Audition requirements for piano majors area are listed below. o be considered for a music scholarship, students must audition and be admitted to The University of Tampa. Students who wish to study organ as their primary instrument must audition with two pieces of contrasting styles. One of the works must be by Johann Sebastian Bach. Know that if you qualify to enter as a piano major, you may audition for organ major status at the end of your freshman year, assuming you are studying organ for at least one-hour credit during your freshman year. Piano credit given during the freshman year will count toward your organ major status. It is encouraged that if you are an organ major, you continue studying piano for at least one credit hour through your sophomore year.
