What will I learn?

Lehigh’s undergraduate major and minor in theatre engages discerning students interested in all aspects of theatre studies. The comprehensive curriculum encourages a well-rounded foundation in theatre studies in the context of a liberal arts education. Students may concentrate in directing/acting, design/technical production, playwriting and theatre history/literature. Extensive hands-on experience in high-quality facilities-the vibrant Zoellner Arts Center-is a staple. The department produces as many as 14 productions each year and places an emphasis on the diversity of its students, faculty and staff as well as the content of the production program.Lehigh’s Department of Theatre is reimagining what a B.A. in Theatre can be in the 21st century-a dynamic space where art, innovation, and social impact meet. We are a community of makers, scholars, and collaborators who see theatre as both an art form and a catalyst for change. Our program balances rigorous study of theatre history, theory, and performance with fearless artistic experimentation, preparing students to engage deeply with the world through bold, original work.
