What will I learn?

The program is designed to instill a broad understanding of print media methods, history and culture while simultaneously supporting focused investigations in specific print and book forms. Interdisciplinary work, collaborative activity, and community engagement are structured into the program, as are a range of professional practice and research activity, all working in concert to realize a personal vision.MICA houses both Dolphin Press & Print and Globe Press. Classes, internships and employment opportunities at the presses allow you to gain real-world experience collaborating with renown artists and designers, learning professional production practices and developing entrepreneurial skills. Our students are engaged with print and book fairs in Baltimore and New York as well as with print studios locally and nationally.
