The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art is a four-year professional degree. This program is rooted in studio practice, critical thinking, and creative exploration-preparing students for fulfilling careers in the visual arts and beyond. Our studio program offers courses in: Ceramics Drawing Glass Metals + Jewelry Painting Photography Printmaking Sculpture Video and New Media Students begin in our First-Year Foundations Program which nurtures their interests and skills through classes in drawing, 2D, 3D, and 4D. Intermediate classes focus on developing practical skills in a variety of mediums and methods. Students select one of the nine mediums listed above as their area of emphasis or craft their own interdisciplinary path. Advanced courses deepen technical and conceptual competencies in studio art. Senior year culminates in a thesis exhibition, giving students experience in curating, installing, and presenting work in a professional setting.
