Horticulture connects people to the environment, from greenhouses, laboratories and landscapes, to global food security and eco-awareness. You will study how to create and maintain a beautiful, sustainable environment in which to live, work and play.HighlightsStudy abroadIn horticulture, you will have the opportunity to travel abroad to experience global greenhouse horticultural production. Countries explored include Belgium, France, Germany and Holland. Real-world experienceHands-on laboratories are included in many courses, and you will have the unique advantage of utilizing the Greenhouse Learning Center, The Botanic Garden at OSU, and the Water Conservation and Irrigation Training Center. All students in the department are also required to complete an internship prior to graduation.
