The information systems specialization deals with intelligent use of information technology in business organizations. The program provides in-depth study of business processes in companies; computers; programming; computer networks; Internet; electronic commerce; security in information systems; database management systems; information systems analysis, design, and development; and management of information system projects. The program emphasizes application of problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills combined with knowledge of business and computers to improve a business organization's productivity and profitability.
