As a mathematics major, you’ll get a broad education in both theoretical and applied mathematics. You’ll also gain the scientific knowledge and the problem-solving, computing, and communication skills critical to a successful career.
Math majors chose from four concentrations: Math, Continuous Applied Math, Discrete Applied Math, or Statistics and Operations Research.
Math majors are great at logical reasoning, problem-solving, and abstract thinking. Math majors are in great demand and often earn higher salaries than graduates with other STEM degrees. Majoring in math at Rose-Hulman will prepare you for graduate study or a rewarding career in many different fields, including medicine, aerospace, insurance, government service, entertainment, and much more.
