What will I learn?

Western Michigan University's music composition program is highly competitive. Before you can be admitted, you must successfully complete the school's audition and testing program, held each November, January and February. You must also have previous composition experience, which may be acquired by transferring approved credit in composition from another institution or by successful completion of prerequisite composition courses at WMU. As a music composition student at WMU, you will be required to present a senior recital consisting of 30 minutes of original compositions that are an outgrowth of your coursework and have been approved by the composition faculty.
