What will I learn?

You’ll gain hands-on experience backed by traditional lecture-based teaching, while focusing your studies in the areas of cybersecurity that are the most sought-after in the job market: cyber operations and cyber defense. As a Cybersecurity major, you’ll learn the critical knowledge and skills that will enable you to keep information and communication systems and their data safe, secure, and resilient against modern attacks. In the BS in Cybersecurity program, you will also:- Gain a computing-based foundation in mathematics and computer science programming that covers a broad range of concepts applicable to a range of cybersecurity specializations. Advance your studies with core computer science and cybersecurity courses that emphasize hands-on laboratory experiences, including web development, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability assessment. Learn to analyze complex computing problems and apply computing principles to identify solutions. Complete a capstone project. Study the socio-ethical and legal aspects of cybersecurity.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have completed the equivalent of a United States secondary-school education (approximately twelve years of formal education) and have the appropriate diploma or satisfactory results on leaving examinations.

For all non-native English speakers, an official English language proficiency examination is required. The following examinations and minimum scores are accepted:

  • TOEFL 80+
  • TOEFL iBT Home Edition: 80
  • TOEFL Essentials: 8.5
  • Academic IELTS 6.5
  • Duolingo 110
