What will I learn?

Business law refers to a broad spectrum of laws and practices that govern the establishment of new businesses, the raising of capital, the lending of money, the financing of projects, and a wide variety of other transactions.

Students in the J.D. Certificate in Business Law program gain a solid understanding of the basic principles of business and commercial law and gain familiarity with the increasingly complex regulatory environment that business lawyers commonly encounter in practice.

Students learn about traditional subjects such as business organizations, securities regulation, and taxation. Students can also focus on individual interests by taking elective courses such as E-Commerce, International Capital Markets, Employment Relationships, and Futures Regulation.
