What will I learn?

Our Communication and Media master's program reflects the breadth of communication today. You'll be immersed in coursework that emphasizes new media and technology, collaboration in teams and organizations, diversity and inclusion, social change and social impact. With this unique master’s in communication program, you’ll pursue diverse areas of interest and develop expertise in one of our distinct yet interrelated concentrations in Applied Communication or Media and Popular Culture.The program is typically completed in two years. Most classes are offered weekday evenings on the Loop or Lincoln Park campuses.

Entry requirements

For international students

A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required for admission to College of Communication graduate programs. To be admitted, applicants must demonstrate, through past academic or professional work, a capacity for achievement. The College of Communication looks at each application as a unique presentation of a candidate's profile and will consider a variety of information sources.
