The cybersecurity engineering program provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to design and implement integrated hardware and software cybersecurity systems. Students gain computer engineering and software/hardware-related technical expertise, and graduate with hands-on learning and research experience to solve real-world cybersecurity engineering challenges. Cyber-physical and hardware aspects of the system are integral part of the curriculum. In addition to the basic hardware, operating system and communication network knowledge, the curriculum also includes: Computer forensics,Reverse engineering,Cold boot attacks,Firmware attacks,Electromagnetic attacks,Cache attacks,Power-monitoring attacks,Differential fault analysis,Industrial controller (PLC) vulnerabilities. The cybersecurity engineering field offers many research opportunities for undergraduates under faculty guidance.
