What will I learn?

Researching the interactions between complex fluids and surfaces that confine or support them to tackle challenges such as biofouling and bioremediation or for biodetection bridge energy and environment-related research in the Department. The ability to understand the motility of mircoorganisms near surfaces and investigate the role of such mechanisms on human health and on industrial processes are but a few examples of research excellence in the Department.

Students with BS can apply directly to the PhD program.Minimum undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (based on 4.0); accepted students typically are in the top 10% of class (3.35 or better based on 4.0)Accepted students typically have total GRE score 300 or better (Quantitative of 155 or better).
