What will I learn?

Our Engineering Technology BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology combines a product design degree with applied theory, where learning happens not only in the classroom but also in the lab - more than 20 of them to be precise. At UCM, you’ll not only study but also practice developing, implementing and improving technology used to make things. The result Undergraduate students earning degrees for Mechanical Engineering Technology at UCM graduate with a broad knowledge of engineering theory that prepares them for a variety of jobs in the field. You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of materials, processes, engineering economics and lean concepts used in the engineering industry. Work in teams with other engineering technology majors to make an idea come to fruition, from design to fabrication. Cast aluminum, weld metals, develop rapid prototypes, work on precision machines, use 3D CADD design and virtual testing software, master computer numerical control machining and inspect using coordinate measuring equipment and more.

Entry requirements

For international students

All undergraduate students are required to upload unofficial transcripts to their student portal (created upon application submission) and submit official transcripts to our office. These transcripts will be used for advisement purposes. Students must have a 2.0 high school GPA or above to be admissible. If the applicant has taken undergraduate coursework the cumulative GPA of the undergraduate coursework must be a 2.0 or higher to be admissible.
