The Bachelor of English program at the University of Central Missouri starts as a blank page, with you as the author. Whether you’re eager to analyze the world’s best literary works or to write your own story, you can do it while pursuing your bachelor’s in English degree at UCM. Either path will improve your ability to express yourself, share ideas and communicate clearly. Regardless of the track you choose, a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Central Missouri prepares you for a fulfilling career in any field. UCM’s English program offers more flexibility than traditional bachelor’s degrees. During our undergraduate program, you only need to take a few courses on site at our Warrensburg campus. For the rest of the program, you’ll be able to choose from a mix of in-person, online or hybrid classes. Our online offerings are 100% asynchronous, so you can learn from UCM professors on your own schedule.

Entry requirements

For international students

All undergraduate students are required to upload unofficial transcripts to their student portal (created upon application submission) and submit official transcripts to our office. These transcripts will be used for advisement purposes. Students must have a 2.0 high school GPA or above to be admissible. If the applicant has taken undergraduate coursework the cumulative GPA of the undergraduate coursework must be a 2.0 or higher to be admissible.
