What will I learn?

Being able to lead and manage change effectively may be the most essential skill in a general manager’s portfolio. To do so, you need a strong understanding of all of the facets of your organization, and maybe more importantly, finely-honed leadership tools to help you motivate, nurture, and lead your team. The Global Strategic Leadership concentration provides the right balance of business knowledge and leadership skills to help your organization grow. In the Global Strategic Leadership concentration, you and your cohort will delver further into managerial topics that will develop you into a great leader in today’s complex global business environment:Leadership,Team Building & Effective Management. Provides leaders with knowledge for building successful teams, managing change, developing effective ways to communicate, and establishing a set of valuable leadership tools.Corporate Economics. Relates a strategic perspective of inflation, business cycles, interest rate dynamics and term structure, federal reserve policy, tax policy, and economic growth to organizational decision making.Corporate Human Resources. An in-depth review of strategies for attracting, retaining and developing a diverse and international workforce. Topics include employment law, diversity, staffing, training, performance management, and compensation.

Entry requirements

For international students

A baccalaureate degree, or its equivalent as determined by the UWM Center on International Education, from a regionally accredited institution.

A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, or an equivalent measure on a grading system that does not use a 4.0 scale.
