What will I learn?

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Television provides students with a generalist approach to film and television production, using the latest equipment and technology while studying cinema theory, history, and aesthetics. The degree offers a more liberal arts-oriented education, with a broader exposure to all of the areas of film and television production, whereas the BFA in Film and Television offers specialization in one of 11 areas.DePaul has been named a top film school by The Hollywood Reporter, Backstage, Variety, and MovieMaker for giving students real-world opportunities to work on Chicago’s film and television sets. Film and Television students take classes and work on their projects at DePaul’s nearly 60,000-square-foot professional production facility at Cinespace, next door to the production of high-profile series like Chicago Fire, The Bear, and The Chi.

Entry requirements

For international students

Final Transcripts/Proof of Degree Completion - Admitted students are required to submit final secondary school (high school) transcripts and/or proof of degree completion (A-Levels, WAEC, CBSE, High School Certificate, etc.) before enrolling at DePaul. If your transcripts/secondary school exam results were issued in a language other than English - In addition to the original language documents, you will need to submit word-for-word English translations for all pages submitted. If your transcripts and/or secondary school exams results were issued by the school or testing agency in English, you do not need to submit additional translations.
