This certificate program is intended for licensed teachers who have completed Roosevelt’s MA degree in Dual Language Teacher Leadership and who wish to add a principal endorsement to their Illinois Professional Educator Licenses. The required courses prepare dual language teacher leaders to manage and lead PreK – 12 schools as assistant principals or principals. Future principals with expertise in bilingual and dual language education get their start here, gaining the skills they need to advance their careers and have a broad impact on schools and districts. Students can expect focused and practical assignments, engaging and intensive discussions, and small group projects. A supervised internship that will lead to career and leadership opportunities.

For international students
The following are required for program applicants: Submitted Non-Degree/Certificate Application. Students must have completed or will be on track to complete RU's MA Dual Language Teacher Leadership Program. A minimum 3.0 GPA in Dual Language Teacher Leadership courses is required.. Present a portfolio of artifacts documenting your leadership achievements and potential. Interview with program faculty.
