The AACSB-accredited Master of Business Administration degree from Wichita State's Barton School of Business prepares students for leadership in business, government, health-related organizations and other institutions. As a Barton MBA student, you'll pay the area's most affordable tuition and enjoy flexible evening classes.The MBA marketing concentration equips you to understand the issues and challenges of creating and managing a customer-oriented marketing function. Emphasis is placed on gathering and analyzing marketing intelligence, understanding customers and the competitive environment, and developing appropriate marketing initiatives. Advanced courses typically involve cases and/or applied learning projects. Most MBA classes are eight-week hybrids, where you attend class once a week and also complete work online.

Entry requirements

For international students

Achieved a grade point average of at least 2.750 from a U.S. institution, or its equivalent from a foreign institution, and no background deficiencies in the desired field of graduate study. Students with background deficiencies may be admitted on a conditional basis. In certain instances, the GPA may be based on the last 60 credit hours of coursework (or nearest semester or term break to this). Many departments require a higher minimum grade point averageGraduate Management Admission Test/Graduate Record Examination (GMAT/GRE) scores — overall score and component (i.e., verbal, quantitative and analytical writing) scores are evaluated. The GMAT/GRE must have been taken within the last six years;1Personal Goals essay that clearly articulates the applicants reasons for seeking admission (500 words maximum);Two reference forms completed by faculty, employer or suitable referee;Current resume (career-based work experience is desirable but not required); andInternational students are required to have a minimum score of 570 (paper-based), or 88 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language, or an overall band score of 7
