Positioned at the intersection of the visual arts, performance, music, visual and media studies and design, School of Art students enjoy world-class resources and learn from renowned faculty at the University of Houston. Our Master of Fine Arts program enables students to advance their creative practice, embedded in the cultural epicenter of Houston, and engage with the supportive academic community that is the foundation of our graduate studies. Our program prepares artists for a life of engaged studio and civic practice which reflects a healthy balance of production, inquiry and cross discipline collaborations. Through a concentration in design, interdisciplinary practices and emerging forms, painting, photography and digital media or sculpture, graduate students broaden their perspective with cross disciplinary studies and the world at large
