Earn a Master of Public Health (MPH) or Master of Science (M.S.) in Health Information Management. Develop the academic foundation and real-world skills to pursue a rewarding career in public health by earning your MPH degree from UMass Lowell. You’ll make a difference in people’s lives by promoting health and preventing disease in local communities and beyond. We offer four Master of Public Health accredited programs. All 4 of our MPH programs have official STEM designation. Master of Public Health Dietetics program is accredited by CEPH and the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). At the local, national and regional level, our healthcare system copes with changes in technology, information systems, financing and management.As a student in the Master of Public Health (MPH) in Healthcare Management program, you’ll learn the organizational, personnel and financial skills to become an effective and compassionate public health manager. Gain an advanced education in healthcare finance, operations analysis and quality improvement, healthcare economics, quantitative methods in healthcare and healthcare information systems. The MPH in Healthcare Management can be completed 100% online or in a blended on-campus and online format. International students must complete this program through a mix of on-campus and online courses.

Entry requirements

For international students

  • A statement of purpose
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Official transcripts
  • Official test scores
  • GRE not required
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.000 GPA from an accredited institution
  • Prerequisites: Grades of C or better in required, prerequisite college-level courses. These include a minimum one semester of statistics and one semester of either biology or anatomy and physiology. Applicants who are missing prerequisites may be admitted with the provision that they meet with their advisor before or during their first semester and develop a plan of study to complete the prerequisites during the first year
