What will I learn?

The Master of Science in Applied Data Science and International Studies (MSADS) program trains you in strategic analysis, leveraging CGU’s world-class expertise and scholarship in the latest computational, behavioral, visualization, and data-driven decision-making techniques for both public and private sectors. MSADS students are exposed to various social science theories, domains, process, and methods knowledge to help them understand and predict human uncertainty across politics, economics, and business behaviors. You will gain a distinct competitive advantage in your professional career through understanding and using these political, economic, statistical, big data, and data analytics tools to solve public and private sector problems. Topics covered in the MSADS program span national policy development, business strategy, conflict and cooperation, income inequality, economic growth, trade, exchange rates, demographic change, and sustainable development.

Entry requirements

For international students

CGU requires applicants to submit proof of a completed a bachelors degree from a regionally accredited college or university. The school also requires a minimum standard of a B average in undergraduate coursework (3.0 on a 4.0 scale).

A minimum TOEFL score of 75 iBT, IELTS score of 6.0 or Pearson PTE score of 50 is required to be considered for admission to CGU through the International Scholars Program (ISP). A minimum TOEFL score of 95 iBT, IELTS score of 7.0 with no sub-score lower than 6.5 or Pearson PTE score of 66 is required for direct-entry admission.

Application deadline: Summer - 1st March, Fall - 5th July
