What will I learn?

Addressing the modern challenges of healthcare requires innovators who combine life and physical sciences with engineering to diagnose and treat disease more effectively and affordably. Lehigh's bioengineering graduate program trains students to work across these disciplines—offering diverse opportunities for advanced studies and research. Students combine education in life and physical sciences and engineering to develop effective and affordable solutions for healthcare and biotechnology problems. Bioengineering offers graduate programs leading to a doctor of philosophy or a master of science degree. The graduate program will train students to solve problems that require the application of interdisciplinary knowledge, combining life sciences, physical sciences, and engineering. The program will emphasize cellular and biomolecular science and engineering, and aims to attract students with diverse academic backgrounds. Students who do not complete the doctor of philosophy have the option to earn a master of science.
