What will I learn?

Geotechnical research at CU Denver covers experimental, analytical and numerical research in geotechnical and soil-structure interaction problems under static and seismic loads, probability and risk-based research in geotechnical problems, seismic responses of various structures, expansive soil foundation designs and deep foundation problems.

Entry requirements

For international students

Statement of purpose - must be an original essay submitted with application. Scanned copies will not be accepted for submission. Resume - must be submitted with application. Official transcripts – we require one official copy of each previous transcript. Send e-transcripts to the Graduate School. Letters of recommendation – two letters of recommendation are required for all programs except Biomedical Engineering (which requires three) and Electrical Engineering (for which letters are not required for internal applicants and are optional for external applicants). Official GRE scores – the college has removed the evaluation of GRE scores for admission decisions. If choosing to submit, send scores officially through ETS using code 4875. Preferred minimum score of 300 plus
