What will I learn?

The Bachelor of Science in Medical Diagnostics/Medical Sciences (MS) 4plus1 is available for highly motivated undergraduate students to complete the Medical Diagnostics (BS) degree and the Medical Sciences (MS) degree in a total of five years of full-time study. All requirements for both degree programs must be satisfied. This program applies to students in the Medical Diagnostics (BS) program with the Pre-Physician Assistant concentration as well. While completing the BS in Medical Diagnostics degree, students will take six (6) credits of graduate-level courses in lieu of regularly required undergraduate courses in the major. The six credits will be counted toward both the Bachelor of Science degree and the Master of Science. Following completion of the Baccalaureate degree, students will complete an additional 26 credits of coursework to meet the course requirements for the MMS degree.

Applicants to the University must be graduates of accredited secondary schools or have equivalent credentials. Specifically, for post-secondary, degree-seeking programs, we consider for admission students who

  • have a high school diploma;
  • have the recognized equivalent of a high school diploma; or
  • are beyond the age of compulsory secondary school attendance in Delaware.
