Available in person or online, the Biotechnology certificate program provides students with in-depth knowledge of biological principles and theory as well as cutting-edge skills in cell and tissue culture, genomics and data science. With this certificate, students will be able to take their education and career in a multitude of directions. Students study cellular and molecular biology, hone laboratory skills and grow proficiency in statistical analysis using computational tools such as R and Python. Skills gained in this program prepare students to begin or explore careers in biotechnology in roles such as biological technician, laboratory technician or research assistant - or to continue their studies in a broad choice of undergraduate degree programs.
