Other eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • Be a new student commencing an ECC Diploma or Foundation in February, June/July or October 2027
  • Be enrolling into an ECC Diploma or Foundation program for the first time
  • Be enrolled full-time at ECC (3 units for trimester course, 4 units for Semester course)
  • Be in the top 10% of new students in the course
  • Achieve a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 65% in the first trimester or semester

Conditions

  • The scholarship is open to any student who commences their first Diploma/Foundation course at ECC in 2027.
  • Students who change course are not eligible.
  • The student is expected to study a minimum of 8 units at ECC.
  • The merit scholarship amount cannot be refunded or transferred if you subsequently withdraw, defer/take a leave of absence or exit from the course.
  • The scholarship can only be used for tuition fees and cannot be used for any other student expense. is applied as a credit towards the student’s subsequent second study period of enrolment.
  • The student will pay subsequent second study period tuition fees less the scholarship amount.
  • Commencement of the scholarship cannot be deferred.
  • No scholarship will be refunded.
  • The recipient must maintain a full-time enrolment (3 units for trimester course, 4 units for Semester course) during their course, unless expressly approved by ECC in its absolute discretion.
  • The recipient must be in continuous good standing financially and academically.
  • The scholarship will not be applied if a student is under investigation for student misconduct, or for breaching applicable requirements under ECC’s policies, procedures or similar instruments, and with all applicable visa requirements.
