The International Merit Scholarship is available to all new international students in vocational, undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, research, and packaged academic courses at any CQUniversity campuses or online.
Valued at up to 25% of your course fees, this scholarship recognises strong academic performance and supports students committed to achieving excellence in their studies.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To receive the International Merit Scholarship, you must be a new international student applying for an undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, research or packaged academic course at CQU. You may study on-campus or online.

All students who meet the eligibility criteria will automatically be considered for the scholarship.
The scholarship value is between 15% to 25% of the total course fee depending on your previous academic performance or English Language Proficiency.

No separate application is required.
You can check your application status and outcome in the iStart portal. If you applied through an education agent, they will keep you updated. You’ll be notified via email once your application has been assessed.

You must provide certified copies of your completion certificates and academic transcripts.
