Progression Scholarships

Other eligibility requirements

CIE students progressing to their degrees at the University of Newcastle are entitled for the UON Progression Scholarship, the "International Excellence Scholarship", valued at 20% per year for 2026 and beyond.

In order to be eligible, students must achieve:

• Foundation Studies and Express Preparation Program students need to achieve an average mark as per their offer letter;
• Degree Transfer and Degree Transfer Extended students need to pass with at least 50%, and
• Pre-Master’s students will need to achieve at least an average mark of 50%.

Students must not have failed any course, when progressing into their University degrees.
